FotoFun is an easy to use app for Windows 8 that allows you to add effects to images in Windows 8. The app has a very minimalistic and simple interface for now and comes only with 6 effects for now but the developer has promised that in the next version of FotoFun more effects with be included and also the effects will be configurable by the user.
The set of effects provided within the app might be limited but they are really nice, so transform your images easily with FotoFun. This app is specially useful for those people who do not like to deal with complex image processing software and really would prefer a simple and straightforward app.
The effects available in the app currently include: Black and White, Oil Paint, Sun Shine, Gamma Effect, Bright, Tint.
This app that allows you to add effects to images in Windows 8 app is available in the photo section of the app store and you can download FotoFun for Windows 8 by clicking on the link provided at the end of this article. When you open up the app you will have the interface in front of you as shown in the screenshot below.
To load your own images just click on the browse button as pointed out in the screenshot above and if you want to capture an image from your in-built cam or webcam then click on the camera button which is located just besides the browse button. This will bring an interface as shown below from where you can browse through your computer and select the required image.
After you have selected an image just click on any one of the effects that are listed on the right side of the app window as shown below to apply them on the image that you have selected.
After you have applied the effect to the image according to your liking, just click on the save button as shown below. This app supports the ability to save the image with effects to jpeg, png, and bitmap. To load the original image just click on the refresh image button which is located to the right of the save button.
