Here’s a list of 4 swipe keyboard apps for Android which you can use to type faster by swiping on the screen, instead of tapping when writing text messages. Sending text messages has become more popular than actually calling and talking to people it seems. Drawback of text messages though is that it can take time to write them. With swipe keyboards, you save time because you never lift you finger from the screen, and they usually have very accurate predictive text type of feature that help finish words faster.
Let’s look at them below.
SwiftKey Keyboard + Emoji
I’ll start the list with one of the most popular keyboards in general, not just one of the most popular swipe keyboards out there, SwiftKey Keyboard.
SwiftKey comes with support for themes, predictive text, emoticons (emojis), support for over 80 languages (they need to be downloaded separately), customizable auto-correct and lastly it has swipe typing, which you can see in action on the image above. Just swipe your fingers over roughly the area where the letters that you need are and the app will automatically place in words for you.

TouchPal – Free Emoji Keyboard
Next up is another very popular swipe keyboard, TouchPal. TouchPal is similar to SwiftKey. It has most of the same features that SwiftKey has, like emojis for example, but it also has a couple of very interesting features of its own.
Next to the keyboard swiping, TouchPal also comes with something called TouchPal Wave, where you get entire words suggested to you as you’re typing through the letter. Suggested words will pop-up behind each letter. For example, when you type “Thank”, “you” will pop-up from the letter “y” on the keyboard, see image above.

Emoji Keyboard
Emoji Keyboard is simplistic looking keyboard with a focus on emojis, hence its name, Emoji Keyboard.
It has all the features that the previously mentioned swipe keyboard apps have, themes, smart auto correction, word prediction, name suggestion, over 3000 free emojis that you can use (obviously) and it also has swipe text input. Default theme that you get is very simplistic and non-intrusive, meaning there aren’t that many options available around the edges of the keyboard. Dozens of languages are supported.

TSwipe-Pro keyboard
TSwipe-Pro keyboard has swipe typing and a couple of other standard features like auto-correction, themes, customizable layouts and more.
Swipe is the main feature of this swipe keyboard app, hence the name, TSwipe. Lots of languages are supported and the app is very small in size, just a couple of MB, making it perfect for users with low storage problems.

Conclusion
TouchPal is the most feature packaged keyboard from the ones listed above, and that’s why it’s my favorite. TSwipe, on the other hand, is interesting because it has considerably smaller storage requirements, but it still packs quite a punch when it comes to functionalities.
