Spelling Words Free is a Windows 10 spelling app for kids to help them learn how to spell words. The free version of the app lets you create 2 lists with 8 words each. When you are going through your list, the word will be in audio format and you have to write its spelling by listening to the word. There is a sample list to start practicing first, to see how this app works.
The Windows 10 spelling app can be downloaded from the Windows 10 store or from the link given at the end of this article. When you start the app you will see an interface as shown in the screenshot below.
The home page offers you a sample list to practice and see how the app works. Apart from that you can create your own list and add words that you want to learn.
For adding a list click on the add list button given at the bottom of the app window. Then you will be asked to give a name to your list. After adding a name you can select add word button to add one word at a time or you can select add words button to add multiple words at a time.
Once you have added words, you can record an audio for them using the record button given at the bottom of the window. The audio file will say the word and you have to write its spelling by listening to it when trying to learn a word.
When you are done recording, save your list by clicking the save button at the top left side of the window. The list will be added to your home page as seen in the screenshot below.
Now to practice your created list, you can click on the list and start practicing. For every right answer you will get a green colored correct written and for every wrong answer you will have a red colored incorrect appear on your screen. At the end of the test you will see a reward earned by you.
