ColorFavs is a free online tool to create stunning color palettes from URLs and Images. That means you can import your favorite images or URLs to this tool, and extract colors from them to create color palettes. In addition to that, it also allows you to create color palettes randomly by selecting hue, luminosity, and the number of colors. It also offers tons of pre-defined palettes and colors, which you can use, sort by newest or favorites, and filter by hue. Unlike other color palettes makers such as COLOURlovers and Cyotek Palette Editor, “ColorFavs” also lets you create your own collections of astonishing palettes and colors.
The best part of this tool is that for each color, it shows color schemes (complementary, tetrad, triad, and analogous), conversions (RGB, CMYK, HSL, and Websafe), hex values, gradient shades (lighter and darker), and other palettes/colors with the same hue. You can also “Like” pre-defined color palettes or colors and add them to your custom collections.
How to Create Color Palettes from URLs, Images, or Randomly Online:
Step 1: This tool comes with a very intuitive interface, which makes it easier for you to create color palettes. In order to use this tool, you have to sign up first.
Step 2: At the center of the screen, you will see 3 different options for importing images, entering URLs, and creating palettes randomly. To import an image, you can simply click the import icon or drag and drop from your PC. If you wish to extract color palettes from a URL, then simply switch to URL option and feed the image link address.
Step 3: As soon as you’re done with importing an image or entering a URL, this tool will automatically start the process for extracting color palettes from them. After that, you can click on any color from the palette to like, add to your collection, view conversions, color schemes, etc.
Step 4: As we have discussed, it also allows you to create palettes randomly by selecting hue (assorted, blue, green, orange, pink, purple, red, and yellow), luminosity (assorted, bright, light, and dark), and the numbers of colors you want to include in the palettes.
Step 5: This tool shows the hex value of each color in a palette, and also helps you see color conversion, color scheme, gradient shades, and the similar colors or palettes matching this particular hue value.
Step 6: As I mentioned earlier, it offers dozens of pre-defined colors and color palettes. To explore them, simply click the respective option at the top of the interface. You can sort them by newest or most favorites and also filter them by hue (pink, yellow, purple, green, and so on).
My Final Verdict:
Whether you’re a website, icon, logo, graphics designer or just a color lover, this tool is definitely for you. Creating color palettes from images and URLs has never been easier. My favorite part of this tool is that I can create my own collection of color palettes and colors. Give it a try.
