Matched is an interesting brain training game for Windows 8. In this game, you are given a board of cards. You need to find three similar cards or all different cards to make a match. You can check the similarity and dissimilarity on the basis of four attributes: Color, Shape, Count, and Filled. You can also make a match by finding cards that are similar in color and shape but vary in the count, like: cards with blue colored diamond shape but one card has one count, two on other and three on the other card, then such three cards will also form a match.
After launching the game, you will find different options: Play, Resume, Daily Challenges, etc. Click on Play option to get started.
After clicking on Play, you will three different modes and two different difficulty levels. The three different modes are: Classic, Keep It Going, and Puzzle.
- Classic: In this mode, find all matches with matched cards being replaced. You are given 10 rounds to play. Every time you make a match, those three cards are replaced with new cards. At end, you are rewarded points on the basis of the time you took to solve the puzzle board.
- Keep It Going: In this mode, Time counts down, but for every match you are given extra time. The game is over when you are left with no time.
- Puzzle: In this mode, you need to find the assigned number of matches without the matched cards being replaced.
All the three modes have 2 difficulty levels: Easy and Hard.
- In Easy, you need to find three cards either with three similar attributes or with all different attributes. The attributes in this difficulty level are: Color, Shape, and Count.
- In Hard, an additional attribute is added “Filled”. Every shape in this difficulty level are filled with stripes or with other shapes.
Chose the game mode and difficulty level as per your skills and click on Start button. You will find a board with nine different cards. Each card is different in its attributes.
Now you need to find three cards that are either similar in their attributes (color, shape, count, and filled) or all the three cards are completely different in the attributes.
If you are struck anywhere, you can take hints as well.
After completing the assigned task as per your mode, you will be rewarded with points based on the time you took to solve it. You can check your ranking as per your points on the leader board.
The game has daily challenges as well. In daily challenges, the same three modes are available, but with new target goal. For every mode, you are assigned a target goal to be completed. You need to complete the assigned task to complete the daily challenge.
Your daily challenges’ score is saved in daily challenge calender, so that you can track your improvement.
