With the exception of some system folders/locations and library folders, you can summon the command prompt from pretty much any folder in Windows. The best part about this is that when opened this way, the command prompt always points to the folder it’s opened in. Opening up the command prompt from a folder in Windows 10 is quite straightforward.
Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Launch Windows Explorer (if it’s not already open), and navigate to the folder where you want to open the command prompt.
Step 2: Once there, click on the File menu, and a drop down menu should appear. Click on the Open command prompt option, and you’ll see two options: one for launching the command prompt regularly, and another one with administrator privileges.
