Here’s a list of 5 personal information management software for Windows 10 which can be used to keep track of a variety of different types of personal information. Personal information management software usually plays the role of an address book, digital diary, appointment manager, notebook, document manager, email manager and so on. Lots of different definitions of personal information management software, PIM software for short, exists out there. Applications that I covered down offer different combinations or the previously mentioned functionalities. Let’s see what exactly it is that’s available.
EssentialPIM Free
EssentialPIM is a personal information management software for Windows 10 which comes with several very useful tools that will make personal information management easy on you. It has a calendar, a to-do list, notes manager, contact manager, built-in email client, and a password manager.
Switching between the available tools is done using the left sidebar or by selecting “Tools” from the top left corner menu. Mail client requires setting up the email accounts (username, password, incoming/outgoing server settings) for everything to work properly. “EPIM Today” is sort of like the homepage of the application where all the upcoming events, important to-dos and notes for the current day are going to be displayed. Free version has limitations, but not enough to make it completely unusable. Note that there are also Android and iOS apps that allow you to sync and access your data on the go.

Primero Free Edition
Primero Free Edition is a bit more bulkier personal information management software for Windows 10 which comes with similar functionalities like those found in EssentialPIM Free. Main difference between the two would be that Primero offers a multi-user environment and extra security by password protecting user profiles and their data.
After launching this PIM software for the first time, you’ll be asked to setup an initial user account. After that the interface is loaded up. You get a note taking tool, contact manager, appointment manager (with a calendar overview), email client and a task manager. Each one of the tools can be accessed from its respective tab up top. First tab, the “Agenda” tab, is again an overview of all the activities across all the available tools that you have setup.

AM-Notebook Lite – lightweight personal information management software for Windows 10
AM-Notebook Lite is a very small personal information manager for Windows 10, just a bit under 5MB in size. Despite being small it still offers a decent set of tools for managing your personal information.
Sidebar on the left holds tools like a contact manager, appointment manager with a calendar, to-do list, notes manager with a full-fledged text editor and a built-in alarm that keeps you from forgetting about important tasks and schedules. Interface is very intuitive and easy to understand. Printing is supported so that important info is easily fetched directly from the application.

esyPlanner
esyPlanner gives you access to a wide variety of tools for easier management of personal information. Like you can probably guess from its name, everything in esyPlanner is centered around day planning. Calendar helps you create a schedule, there also a notes manager, task manager, contact list, password manager and more.
Something that I was really surprised to find was a diary tool which lets you also keep a diary next to everything else that I already mentioned. Interface is one thing that I didn’t like about this personal information management software for Windows 10. It’s easy to get lost in all the windows, tabs and menus, as you can see from the image above. Info stored in esyPlanner can be backed up in a database file, or printed via printer.

AllMyNotes Organizer
AllMyNotes Organizer is an even more simpler personal manager than AM-Notebook Lite. It aims to be more of a notes/file organizer, than anything else really.
Left sidebar has a list of categories where notes can be saved. Contacts, hobbies, shopping, decisions, ideas, quotes, thoughts and diary are the default categories that AllMyNotes comes equipped with. Text editor has a decent selection of tools for formatting everything. Text document formats (RTF, TXT, CSV, HTML, KNT and Evernote) can be imported and managed from within the app. Export of notes is only possible using RTF, HTML and TXT or by printing them straight from the application.

First one, EssentialPIM Free, has pretty much everything that AM-Notebook Lite does, with the addition of a built-in email client and lets not forget mobile apps for Android and iOS. On the other hand AM-Notebook Lite is very simple, so use it if you need something simple and lightweight.
