Here comes a free bulk PDF page counter, named as ‘TIF/PDF Counter‘. Although you can easily see the total number of pages available in a single PDF using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC or most of the other PDF file viewer software. However, those utilities can’t help you count pages available in multiple PDF files. This software does this task easily and automatically.
Apart from counting the PDF pages in multiple PDF files, it also shows the size (width and height ratio) of each individual PDF page. So, without using any on-screen ruler, you can check the size of any PDF file.
One more interesting feature that caught my attention is that it also checks if a particular page is black & white or colored. Based on all these features, it also generates a report that shows the total number of black & white pages and color pages separately. You can’t save the report, which might be disappointing for some users, but it’s a really useful bulk PDF page counter and PDF page size viewer utility.
Note: This software can also be used to count pages in multiple TIF files. However, the software didn’t work for me for this task. It only added a single page TIF file on its interface. You can try this option yourself if it really works.
How To Use This Free Bulk PDF Page Counter and PDF Page Size Viewer Software?
Step 1: Grab this software and install it.
Step 2: There is no option on its interface to add the PDF files. You need to drag n drop PDF files on the interface of this software. As soon as you will drop PDF files, it will start analyzing the files one after another. When this process is completed, you can see the PDF file name, pages available in each individual PDF, and size of pages on the left section.
You can also check if a PDF page is black & white or colored. Moreover, total number of PDF and their pages is also visible in the bottom status bar.
The right section of this software is used to see the total number of BW and color pages including their size.
Step 3: This is an optional step. You can click on Settings to set the ‘PDF Color Tolerance‘ for this software. Based on this setting, it checks if a PDF page is colored or BW.
Apart from settings the color tolerance, you can click on Manage Page Sizes button to add, edit, and/or delete page sizes. If you don’t know what page size you should add or delete, then keep the default settings.
Conclusion:
TIF/PDF Counter can be handy for sure when you want to quickly check how many total pages are available in a single PDF or multiple PDF files. Showing the size of pages and viewing if a page is BW or color are the bonus features included in this software.
