There’s no second thought that YACReader is one of the best comic book reader. It gives you a very easy, quick, interactive, and good-looking platform to read comic books. All the necessary buttons are present at the top of the interface, in form of tool bar tools; making every single button accessible. The tools include: Open, Save current page, Open previous/next comic, Go to previous/next page, Go to a certain page, Fit image to width/height, Full screen, Rotate left/right, Double page mode, Magnifying glass, Add bookmark, View bookmarks, Translator/dictionary, Show flow, and Show info.
Every single button pretty much explains itself, and hovering mouse over a button gives its name/description. And to speed up the whole reading experience, the freeware also supports hot keys for each single buttons. To get a list of hot key simply right-click on the comic book reader interface, or simply click on Show Keyboard Shortcut button (having A icon). And you’ll get the list of shortcuts.
The reader’s interface is clean, with a good dark background. And if you don’t like the background, then you can either switch to full screen mode (click on Switch to full screen button) or change the background color using the YACReader Option button. Clicking on it opens a sub-window to change settings.
This YACReader option window also lets you control the Flow settings. The Flow is one of the highlights of this free comic book reader. The freeware is not just a plain page by page comic book reader, but it is quite interactive. Simply hover your mouse at the center bottom of the interface and you’ll get a flow viewer. It lists all the pages in a smooth animated format. Simply use the scroll wheel to go to desired page and click on it, to open that page.
With this reader, a YACReader Library Manager also gets installed. It’s a separate Exe file. You can use it to create and manage comic book library. This is just a manager, not a reader. To read books you have to switch back to YACReader. There’s a good integration between both. Here also, you’ll get the same comic flow window, showing the list of comics contained inside selected library. Simply select the desired library and click on Open current comic on YAC Reader button.

YACReader is pretty good comic book reader. It looks nice, gives a good platform to read comic books, and easy to use buttons; without any distraction. However the YACReader Library Manger might slow down your PC a bit. But the Reader is pretty fast and fluid. All in all, a good freeware to try.
