Snapchat constantly introduces new features to attract new users and to keep the existing userbase engaging on the platform. Recently, it rolled out an option to save Snapchat Photos as a video which is currently exclusive to iOS devices only.
Now, Snapchat introduced Cameos that uses selfies to replace the faces of people which is rolling out on both, Android and iOS devices. This feature packs a handful of templates where you can add your face by taking a selfie and create a GIF. This works exactly like deepfake where your face is placed on a body to create silly and funny clips. You can try this with friends and share the GIF in chats or set as the selfie on Snapchat.

Create Deepfake of Yourself using Snapchat Cameos Feature
To create deepfake of yourself using Snapchat Cameos feature, update your app to the latest version. Then open a chat and tap on emoji icon on the chat bar and tap face-icon at the bottom bar. This shows you Cameos templates where you can choose a clip to create a deepfake. Doing this opens the camera where you have to scan your face to create Cameo.
After taking the selfie, it asks you to pick a body type for yourself. This step gives you two options; a male body and a female body. When you select a body, it takes a few seconds to create the deepfake cameo and takes you to the next screen when done. From that screen, you can use that Cameo as selfie or retake selfie to create deepfake again.
Once you take the selfie to create a deepfake Cameo, your face appears on all the Cameo templates. You can access them in any chat and send within the chat. The Cameos is treated as media in the chat. Long pressing on the Cameo gives you options to save it in Chat or delete from the chat.
