In this post, I will explain how to use the new AI Chat feature of WhatsApp to chat with Meta AI. This is a new generative AI feature that WhatsApp has been equipped with and you can use it to get answers to questions and generate images. This is like ChatGPT where you can use it to be creative about your work and knowledge. You can ask Meta AI to write an application for you, proofread text for you, generate code, and even generate replies for messages.
But the most amazing thing Meta AI can do it generate images from text prompts. In the Meta AI chat, you just send a message describing what kind of image you want, and it will give you that. For now, there doesn’t seem to be any limits to this chatbot. You can use it just like any other chat on WhatsApp and generate content.

How to use Meta AI in WhatsApp to Generate Images, Code, and Text?
For now, this feature is available in US and Canada. To use it, you just need to make sure that you have the latest version of WhatsApp.
- Now, you need to tap on the new chat button. From the contacts list that opens, use the “New AI Chat” option. You can see this in the screenshot below.
- It will now ask you to select the various personalities. Choose Meta AI from here and then a WhatsApp chat will open.
- Start asking questions to Meta AI now. You can ask for anything. It will analyze your question and will generate the answer accordingly.
- Try generating an image now. Type /imagine and then add your text prompt. Send it and then wait for a few seconds. It will now return a very high-quality image and you are free to do whatever you want to do with it.
- Keep the chat going. You can ask questions and generate images at any point in the conversation.
This is how you can use Meta AI chatbot right inside WhatsApp. There are some other bots as well that you can chat with but the one that is important and very useful is Meta AI. It is unclear whether Meta AI is using Llama or Llama 2 for generating text-based answers, but it is very good. However, there is a still a warning that the answers generated by Meta AI may not be 100 percent correct or factual. So, you have to look out for those scenarios. Other than that, I really liked it. It is simple and very straightforward. But the best things for me about it is the image generation. The quality of the image is very nice as well as the detailing.
