Batch formatting text using this free Windows 8 batch text formatting app:
This Windows 8 batch text formatting app is one of the lightest app in Windows Store, so downloading the app wasn’t any issue. One good thing about the app is it works in offline mode. Like I said above, the app supports some features of notepad, so you can either use it as a simple notepad tool just for writing purpose or, copy paste the text from some where else in the app and batch format text. There is just one single screen in the app, so there’s no hassle of jumping between multiple screens.
The moment you launch the app, you’ll get the Main Screen (the only screen). It has two text fields covering most of the screen area, and the buttons to batch format the text. The two text fields are the text input and output area. Just write the input text that you want to format, inside the left text box. You can use the basic shortcut keys while writing the text. Some includes Ctrl+Z, Ctrl+A, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, etc. Though the app doesn’t supports options to Bold and Italicize texts. Once you are done writing the text, then simply add the requisite formatting option available at the bottom of the screen.
The formatting options includes: Sort Lines, Itemize, Remove Empty Lines, Remove Spaces, Remove Trailing Spaces, Make Lowercase, and Make Uppercase. If you use the app just for these purposes, then the app works great. With just one single click, you’ll get your text formatted. I felt that the app is best when you have a long list of items that are to be itemized as a menu items, or when you have a long paragraph and you want to remove the empty spaces or change their cases, or remove empty lines between multiple paragraphs. But it does lacks some other text formatting options, may be that’ll be included in later versions. Simply add the formatting option by dragging the slider below the option towards right, and click on Format Text Button. That is it!
The formatted text gets displayed in the right text box. Simply select the text and copy paste it in the requisite program.

[Text Formatter] certainly, is a handy Windows 8 batch text formatting app. It removes the cumbersome process of manually formatting the text.
