Following the footsteps of other popular social platforms, Twitter also introduced Fleets. Fleets are Twitter’s version of stories that automatically disappear after 24 hours of posting. It is basically the same as stories on any other platform, you can create to share pictures or short videos with your followers or the public.
Stories are fine on platforms like Snapchat, Instagram, maybe WhatsApp too. Having stories on Twitter to felt kinda weird in the beginning. But we do get used to things after all. But if you find the fleets annoying on your Twitter feed then you can disable them. This way, you no longer get to see the fleets. Here is how you can do that.

How to Disable Fleets on Twitter on Android?
Right of that bet, there is no direct way or toggle to disable the fleets on Twitter. If you don’t want to see the fleets in your feeds then you have to mute fleets from each profile you follow. Yes, this is lots of work but this is the only way, you can get rid of them right away.
If you are eager to make the fleets disappear, tap and hold on a fleet from the feed. Doing this brings options to mute and view the respective Twitter profile. Tap on the mute option. The next screen asks you whether you want to mute fleets only or fleets and tweets. Tap on the “Mute Fleets” option to disable the fleet from the respective Twitter user. Now do the same for all the users whom Fleets you want to disable.
Later at some point, if you want to enable the fleets, you can do that too. It won’t be a simple task tho. To do that, you have to visit each Twitter profile you disabled fleets from. There you get an option to unmute the fleets from that account.
