Nikontrol 3K is a freeware to control Nikon camera from your PC. You just need to connect Nikon camera to PC with standard USB cable that comes with Nikon camera. After that, you can use this free Nikon camera control software to control Nikon camera via PC.
Update (1-Sep-2012): This software has been renamed as SM Tether.
Nikontrol 3K was originally designed to control Nikon D3000, but it supports other Nikon cameras as well. It has already been tested to work fine with following Nikon cameras:
- D3000
- D300
- D40
- D90
- D200
- D7000
- D50
- D3
- D70
- D80
Some of the functions that this Nikon camera control software supports include:
- Control camera shutter from PC.
- Preview of last photo
- Selectively transfer images to PC
- Upload images from Nikon camera to FTP server.
