How to use this free Windows 8 live chat app for chatting:
The app is probably one of the easiest Windows 8 social app. I like the fact that the app is kept pretty clean. Also the app is very lightweight, so downloading app from Windows Store was too easy. The app has a wide range of features. Besides just simply chatting in textual messages, you can send photos, or attach any file and send it over the chat. The buttons for these are pretty easy to use and are quite self-explanatory.
On launching the app for the first time, you’ll be asked to register with your credentials. Once you get logged-in, you get the Main Screen. The chat appears on the center of the screen and covers most of the screen. The available chat groups are on the left side, and the number of participants in the chat group is on the right side.
Also, I liked the feature of sending voice messages. Yes, it is possible to send voice messages, if you are not feeling to type the messages.
All you have to do is click on the send recorded voice button, and you’ll get option to record your voice, click on Start and speak what you have to say. When you are done, then click on Stop. Your voice message automatically gets delivered. Also, there’s one pretty cool feature, that is not usually found in most of the chatting apps. And that is: allowing users to draw on the drawing board simultaneously. This is surely a fun feature. You can add as many friends as you want, in a group and start drawing.
The other features includes emoticons, attaching a file or photo, and send your current location over the chat. There’s a wide range of emoticons, available in this Windows 8 live chat app. They are cute, but I wish they were a little bigger. Also, besides sending an image, you can take a snap from you web camera, and send the snap over the chat. This is quite handy feature and can make a chat more interesting and fun.
