There are a lot of websites that provide options to watch free documentaries online, but I recently came across DocumentaryStorm that will remain my favorite website (for watching documentaries) for quite a while.
This is basically an online documentary watching website, which lets you watch the best documentaries for free. Unlike most of the other websites, it does not require you to create any account, neither you need to download any plugin to watch the documentaries. Just click on any documentary and start watching – it is as simple as that.
However, what sets this apart from most of other websites is that the documentaries are curated. So, instead of adding every possible documentary available out there, the managers of this website carefully choose the documentaries that they want to add on the website. And if you ask me, their selection is impeccable. Whenever I open the website, I end up being thoroughly confused as to which documentary should I start with, as all of them seem pretty good (Next time probably I will use the well tested methodology of Rock paper Scissors Spock Lizard).
Some of the Features of DocumentaryStorm: Free Website to Watch Documentaries Online
Now, before I start talking about the features of this website, let me mention that this website actually does not hosts any documentaries. All the documentaries are embedded from other websites. Actually, all the documentaries I saw were from Youtube and I don’t know for sure if that is their only source of documentaries.
Let’s see what sets this website apart from other online documentary watching websites (and why am I being so excited about it).
All Documentaries are Curated:
As I mentioned earlier, all the documentaries on this website are curated, so you don’t have to browse through tons of useless documentaries to find a good one to watch. Here, everything is good :)
Ratings Info with Documentaries:
When you hover over the cover of a documentary, it shows a nice pop-up box, which has a brief summary of the documentary, as well as the User rating. I really love both these features, as they let me more judiciously decide what do I want to watch.
Detailed Info about the documentary:
I like to read details about movies / documentaries before watching them, and that is another info that this website provides. Click on any documentary, and it will open a nice detailed synopsis of that.

My Verdict:
I think it would be apparent till now that I really love this website. The simplicity of this website, coupled with a fantastic selection of documentaries and a nice rating system leaves very less to be desired. Do check it out; you might just like it as much as I do.
