Indian Government has come into the market of cloud storage service with cheap rates to compete with others. The NITI Aayog, a policy think tank of the Indian government, launched this cloud storage service that goes by the name DigiBoxx.
Like any other cloud storage service, DigiBoxx offers you online storage space for photos, videos, music, and all other types of files. It offers 20 GB of cloud storage to free users with subscription plans for extra storage and features starting as cheap as INR 30 (~50 cents) per month for up to 2TB of storage. It also offers custom plans for enterprise customers and SMBs. Along with the storage, you can collaborate on the files stored making your cloud storage an assets holder. On top of that, it also features a free email-based file sharing service called InstaShare.

Cheapest Cloud Storage Service with 20 GB Free Storage: DigiBoxx
To use DigiBoxx, you have to create your Digispace simply by creating an account on the platform. It seems to be available within India only as you have to verify your identity with an Indian phone number and the country option is locked to India only by default. The signup process is slightly different from competitors. First, you have to pick a unique username for your account. After that, you have to enter your details with your address and phone number. It verifies the phone number with an OTP. You also have to enter your email address where you get a link to activate your account along with a randomly generated password. And to login into your account, you have to enter your Digisapce name, email id, and password.
The UI of the platform is fairly simple and minimum. You can create folders to save and organize your assets. In terms of ease of use, you can filter files by various parameters and change view mode. It also has a Quick Access tab like Google Drive.
It supports multiple uploads and while uploading a file you can add file tags that help in the organization. You can also mark a file as a resource to share and collaborate with others and make it downloadable. It also got a dedicated tab for Assigned files where you can easily find files shared with you.
The free plan of DigiBoxx includes 20 GB storage with Unlimited external collaborators, 2GB max file size, Gmail integration, and real-time collaboration. You can extend the storage and maximum file size limit with paid plans which also bring features like Automated backups, User management, Platform Training, the Ability to set file share expiry, etc.
InstaShare: File Sharing Service
DigiBoxx also offers a free file sharing feature called InstaShare. This ad-free service allows you to share up to 2GB of files with anyone via email address. Both parties don’t really need a DigiBoxx account. The files stay stored for 45 days and get automatically deleted afterward.
