Split The Bill app for Windows 8 is a free app that allows you to split the restaurants bill among your friends.
This is specifically useful if you are a student or in a situation in which you do not have that much money to spend. If you like to eat out with friends and you still want to save some money then try out this free app. 
As it’s name suggests the app allows you to split the bill that comes up in the restaurants or in a party with our friends and colleages The best thing about this app is that it allows to split the bill with your friends or colleages along with the tip. In this manner you can even divide the tips that you want to leave with complete ease.
The best part of this app is that it allows you to divide the total bill among your friends and colleages exactly and it takes into account details like the beverages, tip etc. this makes it extremely easy to split the total bill to the exact penny.
You can download Split The Bill app for Windows 8 from the link provided at the end. Now just run the app from the start screen just like any other Windows 8 and you have the interface as shown below (obviously without the descriptive pointer and selection).
How to use Split The Bill app for Windows 8:
- The upper part of the interface is where you enter all the details about the expenses and the lower part is where the split bill will be shown; which part does part does what is marked in the above screenshot.
- To start with the app the first thing that you are supposed to do is enter the details like the total bill amount , the amount of money out of the total that was spent on alcoholic beverages, amount of money spent on other beverages, and the last thing is the shared items. Now that you have entered all these details just enter the amount of people sharing theses expenses; the best thing is that the app allows you to differentiate between people drinking and not drinking alcoholic beverages, so that the total money is split fairly.
- To add the number of people sharing just slide the sliders which are located just besides the entered amount of money. Now the last thing that is remaining is the to enter the tip to be given the percentage of the tip can be entered by sliding the first slider which is labeled Tip.
- After you have followed the above steps then the amount of the split money will be shown to you as seen in the first screenshot of the post and you don’t even have to click on some button to get the results.
