I am sure that all of us, at one point of time, have been annoyed with dancing between two separate windows for a particular task. Why can’t you stay open and stop irritating me? is what I find asking myself, while facing this ordeal. Surely, opening and minimizing windows again and again is very irritating when you have to copy a text and paste it in another document, or when you have to compare some statistics, or something else. But it is also such a petty problem that we tend to overlook it and move on, or we simply do not know a remedy for it hence try to live with it. As it turns, we do have a remedy for it and that is exactly what this article is about. I have included a list of 5 free software to keep windows always on top. Let us see how they work.
The software included in this list are Deskpins, MooO Windows Menu Plus, Keep On Top, Windows On Top, and OnTopReplica.
Deskpins:
The first software to keep windows always on top mentioned in this list is Deskpins. It is a very lightweight software that lets you Pin windows in order to keep them on top. There is no restriction on the number of windows that you can pin. Pinned windows can also be removed easily from the interface of the software. It has been designed to make sure that you do not have to open different windows again and again. You can pin the important windows and they will appear alongside the currently opened windows.

MooO Windows Menu Plus:
MooO Windows Menu Plus is the second software mentioned in this list. Basically, this software is a desktop enhancement tool for windows that can perform functions like relocate windows, set transparency rate, and more. But, allowing you to keep a particular window on top is also one of the many functions of this software. In the right-click menu you will see a “keep on Top option” that can be used for the purpose in question. You can keep any windows on top simply by clicking on this option. The same step can be repeated to deactivate the feature.

Keep On Top:
Keep On Top is the next software that I have included in this list. This is also a very lightweight software and comes with straightforward features. The software has been designed keeping in mind the problems users have to face while switching between different windows. You can simply select the window you want to keep on top. The selected window will stay on top afterwards, until you cancel it. The software is very helpful while you are reading something from one document and typing it in another.

Windows On Top:
Windows On Top is the next software is this list to keep windows always on top. This, like many other similar software, is quite lightweight and does not require any installation. The different thing about this software is that it does not have any interface and can be used through Hotkeys. You have to press “Ctrl+T” to allow a particular window to stay on top. Press the hotkey when the desired window is open and press the same hotkey again to deactivate the feature. To close the application you have to select “Suspend Hotkeys” option from right-click menu.

OnTopReplica:
OnTopReplica is the fifth and final software in this list that you can use to keep windows always on top. This software comes with a very peculiar and interesting feature. Instead of just letting you keep the whole window on top, it also lets you select a portion of window that you wish to keep on top. This feature is quite useful and interesting. After selecting the windows, you can select a particular portion and hit the done button. The selected portion will always stay on top of every window you open.
