You will be shown multiple Ishihara color plates and you will have to identify a number on the color plate. However, the app doesn’t tell you if you have the color blindness ailments or not. You will be just shown whether your answers are correct or not. So, if most of your answers are wrong then it is a strong indicator that you might have some sort of color blindness.
Color Blindness test Ishihara:
Color Blindness test Ishihara is another free eye test app for Android app to check for color vision deficiencies or blindness. There are 2 different types of tests for eyes that you can take to know if have any color blindness or not. The app doesn’t specifically tell you that which type of color blindness you have and it just indicates whether your color vision is alright or not. However, the app gives you an in-depth overview of the wrongs answers and you can get to know which numbers with normal and color-deficient vision would interpret them. If your eyes are perfectly fine and want to know how a person with color blindness sees the world then you can check out its Camera mode. In its Camera mode, you can see how a person with different color deficiency types like Protanomaly, Tritanomaly, etc perceives the colors in the real world.
The two types of the test include Ishihara and Farnsworth D15 color vision test. In the Ishihara test, you have to identify the numbers on the Ishihara color plates and in the Farnsworth D15 color vision test you have to sort the colors starting from the reference color. Ishihara test will tell you if you have color blindness or not and the Farnsworth test can tell you the exact type of the color anomaly. From the Ishihara test, you can check if you have any anomalies in your eye color vision. To know the specific type of color blindness, take the color arrangement test after which the app will show the type of the color blindness in the test results, as shown in the screenshot above. In the color arrangement test, you have to sort the boxes as per their hue with a reference point. And, in the Ishihara test, you will see multiple Ishihara color plates and you have to identify the numbers on a plate. Once the test is over, you will see the results which reveal the status of your eye color vision i.e. normal or color blind. In the color cube game of this app, you will have to spot the cube with a different hue.
Color Blind Check:
Color Blind Check is a free eye test app for Android to check color vision. This app comes with a different type of test called Quick CBC in which you will have to spot the cubes on a grid whose brightness and colors changes rapidly. This test measures PDT score (color blindness type), severity of the color deficiency type, and, the overall score of the test. In this test, there are 4 grids of 4 different colors i.e. blue, yellow, green, and, pink. On each grid, you have to spot 12 different cubes, make sure you don’t tap if you don’t see anything as this will affect the test results. After the test is complete, you will see if you have any color blindness or not. As I mentioned, the app displays a score which indicates whether you have a normal vision or any type of color blindness. If the score is 0 then as per the app you don’t have any color blindness. The score above 50 indicates moderate to high degree of color blindness. To check for the specific type of the color vision anomaly, take a look at your PDT score and the description against it.
Color Blindness Detector:
Color Blindness Detector is a free eye test app for Android. As compared to other apps to check color blindness, this app is very simple and just comes with the Ishihara test to see for any color anomalies. After you have taken the Ishihara test, this app will simply indicate whether you have color blindness or not. If you want to know the specific type of color blindness then check out other eye test apps mentioned in this article. Take the Ishihara test and identify the numbers on the Ishihara color plates. After the test is over, based on your answers the app shows the eyes test results stating if you have color blindness or not.
